Do you have what it takes to become an Official Kennebec Valley Explorer? Download the Explore App and then visit the less-traveled destinations on the Official KV Explorer Tour, and you will be rewarded with a GPS-triggered Badge. Hints on where to activate the Badges are in each description on the App. You will need to be within approximately a 40-foot radius of the specific location, so get out of your car and explore these unique attractions.
How to Earn Badges.
Earning badges is as easy as spending time exploring Maine’s Kennebec Valley while using the Explorer App. You will need to set location access to always and allow for notifications as the badges are GPS triggered.

Check your badge status.
- Select the Profile tab in the lower right corner.
- View your recently earned Badges. Select Browse All to see unearned Badges.
- Scroll to see the status of all your Badges.
Earned badges can then be redeemed for the Official Kennebec Valley Explorer branded items below.
