Waterville Country Club
Waterville Country Club was founded in 1916. The first player to ever tee off at our club was none other than 1913 U.S. Open Champion, Francis Ouimet.
The original 9-hole course was designed by our founding members and was redesigned in the 1930s by Orrin E. Smith, who worked for many years under well-known architect Donald Ross. In 1967, an additional 9 holes were built in conjunction with reworking the existing holes to give our members the 18-hole course that currently sits here today. This expansion and redesign are credited to Geoffrey Cornish.
