Swine & Stein Brewfest
Gardiner’s most popular event of the year is back! Swine & Stein Brewfest will take over the streets in historic downtown Gardiner on Saturday, October 10th from 12 to 5pm with all-day tasting of craft beverages, a full lineup of great music, pork and other dishes from tasty food vendors and entertaining games all day long.
Now in its 17th year, Swine & Stein Brewfest celebrates the diversity of Maine’s craft beverage producers. More than twenty breweries, fermentories, cideries, and distilleries will be serving samples in the open air beer garden all day long.
An array of food trucks and local restaurants will be offering pork dishes and poutine along with a variety of other types of cuisines to satisfy all appetites. Live music will entertain throughout the day from the stage in the street, and an assortment of unconventional games and activities encourage mingling and merriment. For the twelfth year, participants will groom, style, and dress their facial hair in the hope of being named “best in show” in the Beard and Mustache Competition. Other competitions include an intense Rock Paper Scissors Championship and the crowd favorite Frozen T-shirt Race.
Brew samples will be 4oz, spirits will be 0.5oz samples and wine will be 1.5 oz samples for responsible enjoyment throughout the event. A complimentary tasting glass is included with admission.This year’s pouring line up includes: Run Amok Mead, Doom Forest Distillery, Sheepscot Valley Brewing Company, Black Pug Brewing, Definitive Brewing, Cushnoc Brewing, Mossy Ledge Spirits, Crooked Keg Brewing, Footbridge Brewery, Three of Strong Spirits, Grateful Grain, Ambition Brewing, Bigelow Brewing, Geary Brewing Co., Bateau Brewing, Willows Awake Winery, Island Park Brewing, Absolem Cider, Nonesuch River Brewing, Freedon’s Edge Cider, Dasch Seltzer, Birchwood Brewing & more!
Tickets can be purchased online at swineandsteinbrewfest.com or at select downtown Gardiner businesses at the discounted price of $5 off VIP and General Admission. VIP tickets are limited and generally sell out before the day of the event and provide entrance to the event space at 11:30 am with pouring beginning at 12:00 noon. General Admission tickets begin at 1:00 pm. Ticket prices before the event are $55 for VIP and $45 for General Admission, with day of event general admission at $50. Thanks to designated driver sponsor Janet Slade State Farm Insurance, non-drinking tickets online and at the gate are $10 and include unlimited soda and water.
