Indoor Insanity 5K

January 10, 2027 @ 7:00 am - 10:30 am
$35

Indoor Insanity 5K: Get Out of the Cold and Run/Walk Indoors! Trade icy roads and freezing winds for music, camaraderie, and a little Indoor Insanity! Join the Maine Indoor Air Quality Council at Colby College’s Harold Alfond Athletics & Recreation Center in Waterville for an indoor 5K with a purpose.

Race for a fast time, enjoy a relaxed run, or walk with friends. Runners choose from three heats based on pace, and walkers have dedicated lanes. The event features professional chip timing, door prizes, and a free kids’ fun run.
Every registration helps fund radon mitigation systems in low-income Maine households—reducing exposure to a gas that causes lung cancer.

Walking begins at 8:00 a.m., with running heats at 8:00, 8:40, and 9:20 a.m. The kids’ fun run starts at 8:25 a.m.

Start your year moving—and help prevent lung cancer, one lap at a time!
