SUMMARY:5th Annual Flutie 5k for Autism at Pine Tree Camp
DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday\, October 24\, for the fifth annual Flutie 5K for Autism at Pine Tree Camp in Rome. Participants of all ages and abilities are invited to run\, walk or roll along Pine Tree Camp’s fully accessible trails through the Maine woods and along the shore of North Pond. The day includes a timed 5K run\, 5K walk\, wheelchair and handcycle division\, adaptive running division\, Kids’ Fun Run and virtual participation option. \nEvery participant receives a race shirt\, bib and finisher medal. Funds raised support Pine Tree Camp and help Maine children and adults with disabilities—including autistic campers—experience barrier-free outdoor recreation\, independence and belonging. The Kids’ Fun Run begins at 9:15 a.m.\, followed by the 5K at 9:30 a.m.

DESCRIPTION:Gardiner’s most popular event of the year is back! Swine & Stein Brewfest will take over the streets in historic downtown Gardiner on Saturday\, October 10th from 12 to 5pm with all-day tasting of craft beverages\, a full lineup of great music\, pork and other dishes from tasty food vendors and entertaining games all day long. \nNow in its 17th year\, Swine & Stein Brewfest celebrates the diversity of Maine’s craft beverage producers. More than twenty breweries\, fermentories\, cideries\, and distilleries will be serving samples in the open air beer garden all day long. \nAn array of food trucks and local restaurants will be offering pork dishes and poutine along with a variety of other types of cuisines to satisfy all appetites. Live music will entertain throughout the day from the stage in the street\, and an assortment of unconventional games and activities encourage mingling and merriment. For the twelfth year\, participants will groom\, style\, and dress their facial hair in the hope of being named “best in show” in the Beard and Mustache Competition. Other competitions include an intense Rock Paper Scissors Championship and the crowd favorite Frozen T-shirt Race. \nBrew samples will be 4oz\, spirits will be 0.5oz samples and wine will be 1.5 oz samples for responsible enjoyment throughout the event. DESCRIPTION:Maine Endurance Sports Alliance (MESA) a 501(c)3 nonprofit is proud to introduce the WATERVILLE MARATHON – Full/Half/10K/5K – Running Festival on Sunday October 4\, 2026 (NEW DATE) starting at 7:00 am at the Head of Falls Park next to the iconic 2-cent bridge in Waterville Maine allowing more participants of all abilities to cross the finish line. This event is in the process of being USATF sanctioned\, and Boston certified. All courses start at Head of Falls Park\, head down Main Street in Waterville\, to Fairfield around the countryside in Clinton & Benton and back to cross the 2-cent bridge to the finish line. Maps can be found at www.mesa-maine.org. \nFor participants who have “BOTTLES”\, we will accept “BOTTLES” at the operations tent at the starting line until 6:00 am. These will be on a special table at each water station for the participants to pick up. \nWe will have a vendor area at the finish line for participants and their guests.
